Can't get enough Taylor Hicks?

Well ... the "American Idol" Season Five victor is coming back to the area.

As the special guest of Earth Wind & Fire, Taylor will be performing at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts this Saturday night.

For those Taylor fans who couldn't get enough when he came to town on August 16th, head over to the Ticketmaster Web site, as some tickets are still available.

If you're lucky, he might sing the Beatles hit he sang here in Poughkeepsie a few weeks ago:

If you missed any of the "Sean's Space" coverage of Taylor's Poughkeepsie show, first of all shame on you (just kidding), But here's the recap anyway, with additional photos and video on each post:

Click here if you want to see Taylor after the Poughkeepsie show, braving the rain to make his fans (including two new Soul Patrol-ers!) happy.

I asked Taylor your questions and he answered them in the story found here.

My pre-show, Web-exclusive story leading up to Taylor (including my interview with him) can be seen by clicking here.

Phew! I think that's about it! If you're headed to Bethel Woods (sadly, work commitments won't allow me to attend), feel free to come back to "Sean's Space" and tell us how the show was!

And if you run into Taylor, tell him Sean says hi!

Awesome!! I wish more local entertainment events were covered in as much detail as you provide for your "Sean Space" fans. I know that if I want a great review of something, I come to your blog. You did a great job with the Goo Goo Dolls, Marry Poppins, The Wreckers. It's all great stuff! Keep up the great work.

Sean -- thanks for the coverage of the upcoming EW&F concert.

It's always interesting and encouraging to find a journalist willing to put his personal objections to a movie, concert, performer, behind him and to attend with an open mind.

Congratulations amd thanks again.

Sean - I love your blog! And I agree with anonymous I and juliegr. The PJ should let you cover more of the HV music scene with your jubilant, positive style.

Thanks for the fun updates!

Sean you're a better entertainment writer than your music critic! I hope Taylor keeps coming back -- we love the guy! Awesome show!

I'll be at the show Saturday night. I'm travelling down from Maine to see Taylor for the 11th time this year. I'll check back after the show and let you know how things went! It should be a cool show and an even cooler roadtrip!

Hey Sean - here's my recap. Thought I'd also let you know that the New England Soul Patrol group that attended the show traveled many hours to see Taylor open for EW&F. My 11th show was pretty cool and the venue was awesome. I've got a 9 hour drive tomorrow to get home. The next show for me is on September 29th in Springfield, MA at The Big E. It's the New England Soul Patrol's first birthday. www.newenglandsoulpatrol.org

The show was a little late getting started, and we weren't treated to Soulfinger tonight. He came right out to Gonna Move and luckily, where I was seated, I was able to stand and dance the entire set. We weren't blocking anyone's view and danced to our little hearts' content. Next up was a very funky version of Give Me Tonight. Taylor was really trying to get the crowd up and moving, but it seemed they were a hard crowd to win over. You could certainly look around and see the die-hard Soul Patrollers up and on their feet. He did manage to get an original in the set with Heart and Soul. It was an amazing version and he ended it by stressing that it was an original. Next up was the "first single off the album", Just To Feel That Way. What can you say about it? It is what it is at this point. He asked us to get funky with Naked In The Jungle, and I wondered if the people behind us were going to stop talking long enough to give Taylor a chance. We stood directly in front of them at that point as they weren't really paying any attention. We did the "speak out" moves and I wished we were a little closer so he could enjoy a few fans in the crowd that were appreciating what he was doing. Heaven Knows and The Maze were their usual charming selves...he was dancing up a storm and tagged Want Ads which was thudworthy and I believe I have some video of that. I tried to help him start The Right Place tonight, but the place was so big my little voice was drowned out. It was a very nice version and the people behind us finally stopped talking for a short time. The Runaround wrapped up the set - managed to get a couple of more people up and dancing. He tagged Big Boss Man and Willie Brown and played some beautiful harp.
