The L.A. County Hilton

There's the Hilton Times Square, the Waldorf Hilton in London, and Honolulu's Hilton Hawaiian Village, among hundreds of other Hilton hotels around the world.

The heiress to the hotel empire, though, has almost spent a week (not counting her early "release") at someplace where the staff doesn't fluff your pillow each morning and then put a mint on it: Paris Hilton is in jail.

An earlier post enumerated why Paris (seen here in her L.A. County jail mugshot) landed in the pokey, not to mention the efforts her fans went through to get her out.

Just listening to Barbara Walters recount a phone conversation she had with Paris yesterday, you get the impression Paris wants us to think she's changed. (You've gotta read this!)

(And by the way, ya know what I love about Barbara Walters? It's never all about her. Oh, no, wait ... it is. But that's another post for another day.)

Anyway ... Paris wants us all to know she's a new person, a better person. She said acting stupid, the way she did almost every time she was in front of a camera, was all an act, and that she's never going to go back to that life.

So, what do you think? Will Paris emerge from the clink as a new woman? Should Paris be a role model? (And don't even get me started on the likes of Lindsay Lohan!) Would you want your daughter to emulate Paris?

Write a comment. Let us all know how you feel.

Here's the real question, though: How do ya think she looks in that orange jumpsuit?

Any Parent who allows thier young daughter to view Paris Hilton, or for that matter, any of our young Hollywood stars, as rols models should be shot. As far as Paris goes, let her sit in jail for the full 45 days she deserves to serve.

Paris Hilton is not a role model, only for things and objects that whine and whimper, "It's not my fault, mommy get me out of here!" She's a spoiled little rich girl who gets away with just about anything she could possibly think of. Just her role in the "Simple Life", disgusting....
I can't imagine anyone wanting to look up to her, maybe only for the fact that she has money and she might give a hand out.
Someone should make her visit with familes that have lost children to drunk drivers and or visit with a survior of a drunk driving accident. They should make her spend 24 hours visiting with Jackie Saborudo, perhaps that will make her change her style. She's no role model for me, she's everything I wouldn't want to be.

Paris Hilton needs a mentor to teach her that there is no greater honor than to serve. Obviously her parents failed to teach her the responsibilities that come with wealth. Maria Shriver was taught to use her beauty, talents, and wealth for "the greater good". Paris could take a lesson from her. Paris is a spoiled brat who is learning the hard way that there are consequences to choices. Or is she...?

Oh dear God...enough all ready about this dysfunctional person! She is a menace to society and deserves to be locked up in a mental ward permanently. She did the crime now let her do the time, albeit of any special privileges to her or her family.
