Just did a little wandering on the Ticketmaster Web site and saw that tickets are going fast for the Gretchen Wilson concert at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center here in Poughkeepsie on September 13th.
Clicking here to see what tickets were available, and the best ones they had were in Row Y of the middle section on the floor ... and that's with almost a month to go!
Translation: If you're plan on seeing the "Redneck Woman" in Poughkeepsie, you'd better get your tickets quickly!
I'd like to see Gretchen's Poughkeepsie show (I have her debut CD and absolutely love it, not to mention her kinda rebel style — thumbing her nose at the music establishment), but I'm not sure if work commitments will allow it.
Originally, this show was scheduled for September 21st (this was the marquee when we saw Taylor Hicks here the other night ... surely you've heard he was in town, right?!), but today I see it's been changed.
So who's headed to see Gretchen? Any "Muzik Mafia" fans coming to town? Are any Club 27 members descending on Poughkeepsie? Let's hear it...

I would go, but tickets just for me and my daughter cost around $130 after tax, fees, shipping etc., if not more. My daughter's response (who is a big fan of hers), "Mom, I don't want to see her that much!" When are they going to bring prices down!!!!?
Yeah, the prices did seem pretty steep for Gretchen. While I'm sure she's great in concert (I caught a snipet of one of her shows on DirecTV the other day), $49 and $44 per ticket it pretty expensive, not to mention the service charges. Maybe one of the local radio stations will give away tickets.
Hey Sean, I see that Charlie Daniels is coming to town. Can you get any details about that show in your blog?

Who is Charlie Daniels? I've heard the name but am not sure who he is.
